Currently unreleased, I’ve heard Guy J play this out a couple of times this year, seemingly the latest in his long line of update remixes of trance classics. However, I’m sure I’ve heard that main riff before, and yet I can’t find a trace of it in any of the mixes of Dream Universe available on Spotify. Could this be a mis-label, and it’s actually a remix of some other classic? Or am I talking rubbish again? Someone please set my mind at ease.

The breakdown is 100% Dream Universe
The plucks that run throughout sound like a slowed down version of the plucks from The Man With The Red Face by Laurent Garnier imo

Not talking Rubbish at all. The main melody is Dream universe but I swear the plucks (although a little akin to the Man with the red face) are something Chicane/Disco Citizens. I can't place it but that's what my grey matter is screaming.

I just dug out the Fog Area Promo I have and that little pluck is on there

Yes, I kept thinking of Chicane as well. Something very Ibiza 1999. I can also hear the Garnier resemblance, but it's not what's tickling my memory.

It's not it, but regarding Chicane, Chicane feat. Bryan Adams - Don't Give Up came into mind. At least I think you can mix the vocals into it easily.

I like this version, it does sound like what a Chicane remix of Dream Universe would have sounded back in the day but I see no problem with it.
Jack, I think you are thinking of the pluck from the tiesto remix of Delerium "Silence". It sounds awfully like it but with more reverb

While it does sound like a '90s Chicane-esque remix, I don't think that's a bad thing at all. Actually, I think it's awesome because you rarely hear that sound in today's trance music, and it's a sound I definitely miss.
