Weirdly enough, paper notes don't disintegrate either. I figure they're dried by the invisible hand of the market or something. |

Well, in the US at least, 'paper' notes are made from cotton and linen, rather than wood, precisely for this reason. |

That would make a lot of sense, actually.
I remember I couldn't find (m)any foreigners in Japan, until I went to Subway one day because it was the one place near us in Nagoya where I could eat something I was comfortable with and then... booom... So many blond people!
I'm guilty of going to McDonald's occasionally for the same reason, but they were usually so shocked whenever I ordered a special sammich, I eventually gave up. |
