I am just buying my first vinyls, so I'm a n00b at this.
but, the new records I buy all come with a little paper slip cover over them (in addition to the actual cover, with all the art on it ;) )
Does everyone just throw these away? I found that they stuck to the record all the time, making the record hard to get out lol.
The used records I bought didn't include these, so I'm assuming that ppl generally toss them. |

| Actually, I'd have to completely disagree with you there. I get really annoyed when my record doesn't come with the paper slip. It protects your vinyls from scratches and dust. I find that stickytaping it to the inside of the cardboard sleeve helps alleviate the annoying problem of it sticking to the record. Anyway, apparently, there's a store which sells them online - anybody know what it is? |

It's a good idea to put the sleeve into the case either sideways or back to front, so the openings are not at the same side.
This way, Ligaya doesn't fall out, roll down the stairs and end up covered in dust.
...which is what happened to me. |

i personally take them out the first time i go thru them
i have a stack of about 200 by my tables...(after throwing out about 400-500)
to me its just another way of getting paper cuts..besides..i can fit more records into my record bag/case/crate |

| i keep them the same way as the record sleeve, otherwise they are tricky to get out, and u will miss mixes if u can't get em out in time, especially when some tracks are only 5 mins long, and by the time uve mixed into the tune there is 4 mins left, 3 mins by the time you have done your record swap - longer if u dunno wot yr gonna play, then u will have maybe 30s to beatmatch with, which if u get a perfect lock is very lucky and then have to cue it aswell. keep your tunes accessible, and don't throw the paper efforts away ;) |
