Graphicscard!?!?! Nvidia vs Matrox vs Radeon ??

Hello,
I have a question,
can anyone tell me more about the differences between these cards?
(what's the best card?)
- Radeon 9700 Pro (128 mb) vs Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti 4600 (128 mb)
- Matrox Parhelia (128 mb or 256 mb) vs so called 'Geforce 5' (dunno how much ram)
I'm really curious about this...

| Radeon 97000 ownz all now. the matrox is a shame for gaming. Nv30 got delay and it should be at least faster than radeon9700 unless ati pulls a revise/faster version of it out. |

Matrox Parhelia is mainly a CAD graphics card and aimed more at business ie Double Monitor Presentations.
ATI now leads the market, but im sure NVIDIA have the GF5 coming out post xmas!!! |

watch out for their marketing scams.
GeForce4 MX series is just souped up GeForce2's...
get the Ti series.
same with ATi's Radeon 9000's, the 8500 is actually better. But 9700 is the best. |

the 9700 is currently the top gfx card atm.
tho, nvidia is gonna release it's next card fairly soon. so wathc out :) |

i recently got the radeon 8500le/128mb vid card... it performs almost as well as some of the $400-$500 cards out there but i got mine for $169 canadian, =P. the radeon 9000 series is based on the same chip as the 8500 but is almost 2x the price right now. i think the 8500 was good bang for my buck, =P. of course, the guy at future shop who knew dick all about this stuff, tried to scam me into buying the 9000 series, =P. i'm no expert, but i did a bit of reading before going to buy.. they can't scam me, those bastards..

| mmmm radeon 9700. I would wait before buying a new graphics card. Wait for doom 3, and then buy the hardware that will be able to play that game properly. Then your good for at least the next year :) |

Dont get the matrox card for games.
Nvidias geforce FX will be the best when it comes out, but no one knows by how much at the moment. If you wait till the FX is out im sure the price of radeon 9700 will drop. |
