After an entire day of rain yesterday, today all day at the football field with a lot of kids for closing day of the season, which means playing all kinds of games. Cloudy but no rain, so that was perfect. Lots of fun and joking around with some other parents.

Over at Black Hole Rec's online shop - a lesson in how to use promotional text to get a CD sold:
"[...] The closing tack, "Suburban Train," is full of lighter, more interesting melodies, even if it does get into a bit of that Euro-trance cheesiness. [...] In My Memory fails to connect on the opener, "Magik Journey," which starts with a nicely dark ambient intro but unfortunately moves into more banal progressive trance territory. The downtempo "Close to You" grates with an overly sweet female vocal, while the hard, machine-like noisiness of "Flight 643" simply doesn't work. [...]"

"This one goes out strictly to the fans. If you're not already one, you may want to wait for the singles" :p
The thing I like the most about it is that, of all tracks, it was Flight 643 that made its way to the mainstream as part of the FIFA 2002 soundtrack.

Heavy day at work, a social science student plunged to her death off a water tower. Such a fraught topic to tackle, not only because I feel for her family and friends, but because it makes me fear copycat suicides in the next few weeks among the emotionally vulnerable students...

Sad, I hope this cheers you up...
Haven't seen this video in ages. Wow David Lee Roth looks like a transvestite (long hair, makeup, tight pants...)

He’s even wearing bracelets and white glove with the fingers cut off like Madonna. I love how he gets sassy teaseing his hair @ 0:18 :stongue: He has got to be the gayest straight guy I’ve ever seen.

Yeah... To make things worse, pictures of her atop the water tower have made the rounds among the students, and I'm afraid of the impact it may have on them :(

It usually would, but this hit a bit too close to home, in her case. Thanks for trying to make me smile, though :)
