| Hah, glad it's feeling okay 8 minutes in but I've run too many races to know it's too early to tell that the whole thing is successful. I'd rather hear your post-listen thoughts :p |

Right, my contribution is now ready. I've basically reconstructed my (slightly in excess of) 4 hour set at MIR Grόnerlψkka early in September. MIR is a pretty laidback and intimate pub, so I didn't really pull out that many big tunes. Instead, I played mostly house and downtempo in a more loose and relaxed format, including some leftfield type tracks in a more mixtapey fashion without much beat mixing. I tried sequencing tracks more based on a vibe instead of strictly basing myself on BPM at some points during the set. Hope you guys will enjoy it as much as I did behind the decks that night.

Good stuff. I'll probably end up listening to Jan's before I get to Nick's. I can put on a downtempo/housey set in the background while cooking with my partner and four hours will pass quickly, but I'm not sure blasting psy trance will go down so smoothly. I'm still trying to think of the ideal context to optimise it, now that I don't run long distance anymore.
I'd consider going on a five hour trek through Yorkshire like I did to test-drive my own mix, but last time I ended up with blistered feet and almost being gored by an errant bull on a canal path. |

Awesome, Jan! I have added your set to the OP. My company just changed their "work from home" policy so I might not get a chance to listen to it during a work day, but I will hopefully be able to make some time soon.
We have 7 more participants to submit a mix! This isn't really a hard deadline but it would be pretty amazing to see everyone finish before the new year. If not, at least submit your mix before signing up for next year's challenge :p

Yeah, I hear you, but hopefully I can dispel the notion that this set is blasting for 5.5 hours. It's a lot more palatable than a majority of my mixes, lots of laid back sections and the techno bit is like 122-126 BPM. Although I do crank up the intensity for a couple hours in there :o
Not sure what you would consider an ideal context for it, I guess I tried to execute the challenge as you originally intended, playing all night at a club. For home listening in one go I would picture myself and some friends playing pool or video games and drinking while this plays in the background. Realistically, though, it might take me a few days to work through it since a lot of times I can only listen for 15-45 minutes at a time. |

Hey wotyzoid, I'd like to listen to your mix but the download has expired.
Anyways, I listened to the first half of Jack's, Nick's, and Sand Leapers... liked what I heard so far! Great job guys... I have some vacation time coming up in which I'm gonna bang out a mix, but don't really have enough 'new' music... I'll just kinda wing it I guess! |

| Right Nick, I have set aside tomorrow afternoon with the specific intention of listening to your set in full. I've got a list of jobs to do that need a soundtrack of Get Up And Go tuneage. |

Sorry I'm just seeing this now, I've been meaning to re-up but I've been dealing with a lot of other bull so I haven't had the time. I'll try to get around to it. |
