Friday 184: an hour longer weekend part 2

DST ends here this weekend and I'm back to work Monday after 14 months off.
Taking the babe to get a flu shot today. Sunday we have a big gathering with friends. Starting today, spending the rest of the weekend adjusting the baby's sleep schedule to sync with the time change - which means a little bit of sleeping in, yay! :) |

12 months seems like a pretty typical maternity leave for most countries - my wife was back to work in 12 weeks. Thanks, America.
A baby shower and a get together with friends is on my weekend agenda. Nothing too special. |

Yeah, good old American family values huh? I feel for you guys, I can't imagine leaving my baby that young. :(
We actually get 18 months now, but the legislation changed in December 2017 when I was already off on mat leave. I just asked for extra time off. |

| I am just excited my new job has paternity leave. So I get 6 weeks off...next baby. Oh wait, wrong thread...time to get rid of a storage unit this weekend and starts plans for building an office shed! |

I think my wife both times had 14 weeks and she had to take two weeks vacation to get there. Dads get the huge amount of two days, but as of 2019 they get 6 weeks :wtf:
In Sweden dads get 10 days and mother and dad get 480 days together, average of those days dads take 90. If you don't like to work and live in Sweden, make lots of kids :)
I did enjoy the early sun here this week.
It's not cold as there's no wind now so that's nice for football tomorrow.
Not much planned for the weekend. |

We have since received categorical natural proof that they aren't.
No clubbing this week, however. Spent quite a lot this week on various ticket purchases and items for the flat, so my wallet is in convalescence. |

| Saturday here, I just got home from lunch with some friends. I may have just consumed roughly half my body weight in sushi, and may require a nap. Except I find it impossible to sleep during the day, so I'll probably just sit around like a lazy lump of for the next couple of hours :o |
