| Good Christ. Got far too drunk last night. Fell asleep with all my clothes on and woke up sometime in the night sweating like a junkie. Now I've got to tackle a morning of packing and travelling while still well above the limit. Unwise. |

Haha, no, it was an upscale restaurant we had never been to. We went there once after the wedding, but the maître sort of sneered at my Adidas-clad self for not being classy enough.

I'm not sure the comparison is fair. Nou nearly got TA in trouble with the law and single-handedly killed a whole section, and he'd wreak havoc with code from time to time, Pete just cracks jokes :p |

Before Christmas my wife's family sends e-mails back and forth telling each other what gifts they are getting everyone so that there isn't any duplication. My brother-in-law sent out a message saying what he was getting my wife...and also attached a bunch of emails with everyone saying what they got me. So much for the element of surprise, lol.

This year's family Secret Santa is completely bonkers. Every year, we give suggestions of presents we'd like to get, and on Christmas' Eve we have to give clues saying who we bought presents for. As, you know, every other Secret Santa in the world.
For whatever reason, my dad came to the conclusion the hints were the fun part, not the presents, so he bought himself his own gift and all his secret Santa will have to do is retrieve it from under the tree (not, not a pine this time, but a Brazilian grapetree), and hand it to him. Then he bought my mum's present so her secret Santa could do the same. In protest, I bought myself a pair of expensive audio monitors because them's the breaks now, and nothing makes sense any more :p |
