Plugging 2 ipods into Numark M101 dj mixer ?

I'll start by saying I'm a bit tight for cash at the moment.
Got a small gig coming up and I was thinking of my "back-up" solution (in case there is something wrong with the club equipment).
As a back up, I was thinking of getting a Numark M101 mixer and taking 2 ipods with appropriate cables/connectors.
I've never tried this before and wondering if anyone else has tried this. This mixer has Phono/Line inputs.
As I said, I'm a bit tight for cash at the moment.

You certainly can plug ipods in to a numark mixer, but how are you going to beat match and cue the tracks?
Go for a sound check before to familiarize yourself with the kit, and if it's CDJ's then take backup USB thumb drives of your music AND a wallet of CD's just in case. If you're on Turntables, take spare needles but use your own.
If it's a laptop setup then bring CD's/Thumb drives as backups. |
