I had recorded this mix in order to enjoy sunny weekend afternoons with family, friends and discuss all the times we missed. I kept the duration for good 2 hours, so that Spotify addicts also get to connect their phone :)
This mix starts off with mellow Detroit techno melodies and ends with layered melodic progressive sounds.
This mix was carefully crafted to supplement the warm vibe with gentle foot tapping groove and a few 'AHA' moments.

Since I apparently inspired this set, I thought it only fair to give it a listen. I finally sat down with it on a sunny afternoon with my girlfriend as suggested. The first half of it is very good – lots of very lush melodic dance music arranged nicely, just as promised in the description. In the second half, I felt you lost the vibe a little bit and moved too quickly into a more intense, late-night sound that was a big change to the first half. By the end of the set it no longer felt appropriate for the sunny afternoon context. I feel this could have been split into two separate mixes and would have worked better. But I will be returning the complement and stealing some tracks from the first hour for my own sets, because there were some beauties in there.
On a technical note, the mixing was mostly pretty smooth with some nice long blends. However, there were times when you tried mixing in some heavy bass parts and there was a lot of low end cancellation. An example would be when you mixed in Arise. I personally would never try to mix that track in once the bassline has begun – it’s far too big and heavy to smoothly introduce. |

Many thanks for the review. Your mixes have always been an inspiration for me.
As you have pointed out, somewhere half way I did lose the afternoon vibe.
Regardless, I will work harder on creating longer sets with perfect sunny afternoon vibe.
