So in the UK it appears the parliament has one thing in common, it's a NO on everything. What mess! Nobody wins.
But on a positive note, weather was beautiful today so I washed my car after work. Football match tomorrow, friends with kids will visit us in the afternoon.
Watching F1 somewhere in the dessert.
So what are you all up to?
Stu, have you made a decision yet with that egg problem of yours? :)
Silky Johnson
Working today. Maybe head to the movies tomorrow to see either Us or the Pet Sematary remake.

I just had a soft boiled egg on toast, with sea salt and cracked pepper. One down, 35 to go :stongue:
I'm not up to much this weekend. We'll probably head out for sushi at lunch time, and I need a couple of things from the hardware store, which happens to be right next to the sushi place, so that makes things easy.
I'm aiming to finish the current book I'm reading so that I can get stuck into the new Expanse book that was released in the last couple of days.

I've been saying this for quite a while - Lews may remember me saying it to him in London back in November - I can only really see us leaving with no deal, because I cannot see any other option that unites the myriad factions in our parliament enough to secure a majority vote. A general election might be the answer, although I'm not even sure that would produce a majority government, the way things are right now.
I think everyone in the country is utterly, utterly sick of it by now. We just want it over. There's constant uncertainty about the future. I can't even book a ing holiday at the moment.
Anyway, I've got family visiting this weekend. I've been dog tired all week and spent most of this Friday evening asleep. At least the weather's improving.

Why did you have to say 50 eggs, Luke? Why not 35?! Just something to do, boss.

LOL, no. We got given 3 dozen eggs, and was wondering exactly wtf to do with them all.

Have you seen ROCKY? But seriously make a couple of quiches. One dozen down two to go.

Yeah, I was thinking quiche, or maybe a bacon and egg pie.

My wife and I met a really cool linguist from Malmö in a party. I told her I really liked Swedish music, specially Swedish techno, and then I realised we live in a bubble - I had to tell her I meant I like Avicii so we could keep the conversation going.
When I told her I liked Swedish music, she expected me to say I liked Abba, so I guess it wasn't all that bad either way :D

I'm actually surprised by how resilient the British government is. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing right now, but it's definitely... different.
If it happened here in Brazil, I don't think Theresa May would've lasted nearly as long, and we would probably have already backtracked on this Brexit thing by now. We've had presidents that fell from power much faster, which is not what you'd expect in a presidential system. Hell, if Bolsonaro keeps Neymar'ing as he's been doing in the last 3 months, I wouldn't be surprised to see May soldiering on long after the end of his presidency :p
