This is interesting interview. Sander comes off a bit witty down the stretch probably cause the interviewer is a bit clueless.
Sander has always been a favorite of mine and My Lexicon remains one of my all time fav tracks!

That youtuber is wonderful. I remember something similar but with Push and Universal Nation.

nice find...ps sander is old as well nearly 50..
sander mentions he only worked on one track at a time...probably because of the restrictions of back in the day...but he was able to come up with a song like my lexicon..his biggest hit to date unless you count (this is miami)
so perhaps the drawback of technology....was a blessing in disguise
thread prompted me to check his instagram page...he seems to have done very well for himself for someone without very many hits

around the 19min mark, the interview tells Sander that after My Lexicon, he had hits with The Fruit and This is Miami. Guess the guy forgot about Work to Do and Buenos Aires
this was always a classic prog trancer

not going to lie i initally thought this reporter was the nardwuar of dance music,so he should have definitely knew of this song.
but then again i didn't know either, just gave it a listen , its a monster, and nice view of buenos aries that is definitely a wide street.
its interesting to think how so much of dance music used to be influenced by geography.

Buenos Aires was huge back in 2002-03. Both Markus and Armin were hammering it then
Work to Do was a huge record with the house DJs back then. DT, Deepd Dish, Oscar G, Roger Sanchez were always playing it
I will say that I agree with Sander...the Cass & Slide rmx of My Lexicon is garbage!

Didn't he play it right at the peak of his 2001 Essential Mix?
The original is about as good as it gets, really. It's just a shame it doesn't pitch down well to modern tempos.

Its a shame he only made a few prog trancers such as this. Venus & Mars is an absolute masterpiece!

Well, it's not that I didn't make a thread covering Twan's interviews:
