I'm actually friends with someone that lives there, lol. |

| Kukamonga derives its name from a Native American word meaning "sandy place." Unfortunately I’m not friends with anyone there. :p |

Also curious as to what the cost of fuel is over there? |
Super 95 is about €1.70 /liter
In Germany and Belgium it's about 20 cent cheaper.
Over 60% is tax.
But roads over here are much better though.
You can drive across the border into Belgium with your eyes closed. You can feel when you are in Belgium :)
Now you know why there are so many little cars over here.
Imagine how much fuel it would save if the US would drive smaller cars. |

I drank a bit too much on Saturday night, interspersed with some very greasy bar food, and woke up at about 6am on Sunday morning convinced I was about to chunder my entire innards up and out my nostrils. In the end, after about twenty deeply grim minutes sprawled on the bathroom floor, I settled for the kind of unspeakable eldritch that would make planetaryplayer go green with envy, amongst other things.
Hey, you asked. |

Nice, but I'm missing the California - Miami link, coast to coast trip? |
That caught me off-guard, actually. I'm changing planes in Miami in order to go back from Los Angeles (on my way to the States, I'm changing planes in São Paulo, which makes slightly less sense, now that I think about it... Can't complain though, it looks like a fun trip).

I thought you were kidding, but you're exactly right.
Good thing Rancho Cucamonga is not a place in Brazil, because in Portuguese it means "ing Silly Ranch" as "cuca" is a lovely word for head (much like "silly" isn't all that offensive in English) and "monga" is a proper insult derived from the sad history of the word Mongoloid in European languages. So there, the more you know :p |

Actually it was a bit of a joke. I confess I thought it was such an unusual name I looked it up and offered an obscure bit of trivia. Even in English it sounds like cuckoo (crazy).

| Finally got my car sorted out yesterday. It turns out I blew out the intake hose when I was giving it a bit of stick around the winding mountain roads at Mount Glorious a couple of weeks back. Nice to have the power back when accelerating. 200 bucks, but at least it wasn't my gearbox, lol. |

| Is gearbox slang for homosexual over there as it is here? Because that's what I keep thinking when you say it and I lol. |
