I went to this last year. Pretty nice set up but definitely felt like an Insomniac festival trying to be an underground rave.
Plenty of bathrooms, plenty of bars, lots of kids wearing black (instead of neon glow tights) and "underground" artists.
Overall, I wasn't too impressed with everything and told myself I would not attend the next one. But you never know yo. |

Dixon and Ame were at the other stage which is why we attended. Like I said, it wasn't bad... wasn't awesome but "aight". |

What would have made it better? Less people? Better weather?
Is this outdoors or indoors? Cuz you know how hot it can get July to September in LA! |

I'm a jaded old fart so when I attend Insomniac events I already have my Hater Hat on. There was this feeling that this commercial promoter was trying to be underground that I didn't like. Bunch of kids that probably don't listen to techno decided to dress in all black rave clothes and attend. I was also not impressed with the music. Dixon and Ame threw down some good tunes but nothing like their recent Innvervisions party a few weeks ago. Carl Cox was meh... Wasn't bad but wasn't good.
To be fair though, coming from an open mind it was a good event. Well ran, plenty of space, good vibes, etc... I'm just a hater yo!
Lakers Suck. Go WARRIORS!! |

It was a good party, but like you said commercial one trying to get into the underground. The techno stage grows every year at EDC so they are tapping into that market directly. It's "trendy" right now and that equals $$$. |

bingo! My ole buddy who used to work for them told me they are trying to tap into that market because they know it's the new trend. Something he's been telling them for YEARS! |

Word on the street is that Dixon and Ame will be there which is a must for me. If they're in town, I'm there yo! I imagine they will be playing Sunday night though which is why I'm waiting for the single day tickets. I don't need to do 2. I'm old yo. |
