Got the night off again, so it counts as the weekend to me. :o

I bought a bike because I'm already bored of/unmotivated to work out at home, so I'm gonna pick that up this weekend. Couldn't find it locally so I will enjoy the nice solo drive to get it.

Saturday night we tune into my friend's live stream and that's been our Saturday nights for a few weeks.

Yadda yadda, more of the same.

You?

Friday morning here now, three days vacation next week, instead of our vacation to Crete :( The other two days I can move to a week later.
The weather is good so it will be nice at gardenesia if my hay fever lets me. Some rain in between would help.

Still waiting for the baby to arrive. We had an appointment on Wednesday for the 40-week check and they sent us to a closed clinic. Poor communication on their end. Rescheduled for today at the main hospital, but I can't be there.

Bought a hammock with a stand for our small balcony that arrived yesterday. Fits perfectly. One of those why didn't we think of this before purchases. I'll lounge in that today if the sun stays out. We'll probably finish watching The Morning Show later, too.

Seeds were sluggish to sprout so I transferred them into my new basement living room and turned it into a sauna. Two chards sprout, a kale has sprout and one san Marzano( in right Luigi!). SO’s birthday so I’m making her favs and creating the recipe for her to keep. 4 am beer now though

Honestly I have no idea! There are days I turn on my laptop and work, and other days I do not. I think tomorrow I will not work on it. :wtf:

Got a balance bike for our toddler as well. Went and picked up a helmet for her today and, man, getting a toddler to sit still to adjust the damn thing to fit properly is like trying to put a jacket on a bumblebee, lol.

So my friend who gave birth two weeks ago was just released from the hospital today. Apparently, Jenny, the whole labour was just five hours, but it was, uh, messy. The baby also needed a lot of time in one of those neo-natal incubators. But, since it was a maternal-only hospital, there were lots of experts, etc., so all is well, now. But, damn. Scary .

I will be working and drinking and arguing about things on the internet all weekend. Might try to throw together an old prog classics mix, though.

Intense!! Lol birth is definitely messy, any way it happens! :stongue:

Glad your friend and baby are both doing well now though! :D

Edit: oh, I have to pop in to work tonight for a different mask fitting because I sometimes work in ICU. All the folks who work in high risk areas will now be wearing half respirators with removable filters. Woooo Friday night sure has changed, lol.

I keep reading that last part as "face sitting". Not that I am opposed to such...

Messy? , the whole process is like something out of the Aliens franchise. A human being getting expunged from the womb of another living person, complete with all the internal goop that goes with it. Projectile , blood, and natal fluids flying every which direction, because obviously it's not going directly into that weak ass little bucket down there.

Then you get a cute little baby for a year and then they are a child and terrorize you for the next several decades.
