Green Apple vs Lime candies

| I don't eat a lot of sweets/candies, but two of my favorites since childhood are SweeTarts and regular Skittles (the red bag, not those ty imposters/other colors). Long ago, both candies replaced their lime/green candies with green apple/green candies, which is an abomination. If I want to taste an apple, I'll eat a ing apple. No one really eats limes, so lime flavored stuff is okay. Skittles now makes a "throwback" version, but the last I checked you can only get those at select Walgreens. SweeTarts refuses to ing budge. You get green apple forever, and they have more recently eliminated the orange flavor as well. Agree? Disagree? Pissed off about other candies that have been ed over? DISCUSS. |

We subscribed to a monthly box of American candy once, and we've stuck to European sweets ever since. I don't know if they just sent us the ones or if it's all bad. Sweet thread anyway, Boo Radley.
The only thing I'm pissed about here regarding sweets is that they're changing the name of classic sweets like "N_igger's Kiss" to just "Kiss". |

Amen. One of my late maternal grandfather's favorite Christmas gifts. I have no idea if he was actually racist, or if he just liked the looks on people's faces. |

When I was eight years old, I got caught stealing a huge bag of sour patch kids. My mom was shopping in another section when they found me stuffing it in my pants in the candy aisle. She had to pay for the bag to avoid a call to the police and made me eat all of it on the way home. Then I got home, puked and my stepdad beat the out of me.
I still love lime flavored sour patch kids the best. Totally worth it. |
