| Junkie XL is definately the most inovative right now...he goes from making something commercial like "A Little Less Conversation" and that Natalie Imbruglia remix to "Breezer" and "Obsession" all the way to the stuff he produced for that XBox game "Quantum Redshift" or something like that, which is also pretty good. |

and charlie may deserves it for the song behemoth alone
finally i would say give props to tom mangan for tracks like chutney and backwards retro |

to tell the truth, i had no idea who is charlie may, and i have not heard of him, but now i'll definitley look for his name.....
anyway, there must be lots of good producers, i know they are, but you can't know all the producers that eist and hear them all, there's just too much music going around, and if we would be able to listen to everithing, so what's the point, but it's good to know that there's other guys in the same direction that sasha and holden, i'm happy about it, because it's good for the music evolution... |

Hahahahh :) Xpander takes its main lead from an old Spooky track called Little Bullet - Charlie May is behind Spooky. Sasha has produced his own tunes. Fundamental was completely written by Sasha and is one helluva tune from Airdrawndagger. There's others from ADD that are by Sasha and Sasha alone...but only 2 or 3.
I agree on James Holden being one of the best producers at the moment. Omid/16B is also ing wicked recently. His "How To Live 100 Years" is an amazing album. Such diversity in genres between the tunes, yet they all seem to mesh together so well.
Haven't heard much from his recently... but G-Pal (George Palikaris) is AMAZING!... I love his stuff, his Beneath the Surface EP was sweet, same with his "Life" album a few years ago. He did a mixcd for the Plastic City label which was beautiful as well. Something about his tracks that make them so special, dunno what... i guess they're kinda atmospheric, warm fuzzy progressive without a hint of cheese. Most beautiful compositions around.. check out "Life" by him. First heard this on Jody Wisternoff's "Way Out There" comp.. i love it to death, best opening song :) |

| Besides those already listed, I suggest anyone looking out for innovative producers check out Grayarea. Their most recognized single 'One for the Road' is a beautifully composed track that takes you on a journey in several directions in only a matter of minutes. Their live PA that was broadcast on Kiss100 showcases their talent spanning several genres, from trance and prog to breaks and ambient. |

Hmm.. I've never noticed any similarities with these two tracks. Little bullet is nearly as fantastic as Xpander but I wouldn't say Sasha copied that track. |

I still prefer his old stuff, just because of the kickass breaks he used to do.
His current direction is something I don't really like - apart from Obsession... |
