The select thing is dumb. I was �lucky� and was an early pilot for the program, and I really need to turn it off.
The majority of the money goes to mixcloud, then the next portion goes to artists in the sets, and then a small amount goes to the DJ. I thought it would be good for artists, but I�m not so sure now. People are not really willing to subscribe to a DJ, and then you have situations like this where a DJ comes across as a money grab. The tiny amounts of money that get funneled to artists and DJs don�t make it worth it imo
It�s a cash cow for mixcloud, but even so, they will still give you ing ads on your own content, they will give ads on your select content, and a host of other things. This is as a pro and select contributor.
It was a good idea in practice, ruined by business & profit. |
