I've been bizarrely tired the last few days. Not sure if it's some hangover from Covid, although generally my energy levels have felt normal. Last night we had a curry and a couple of beers, and I fell into a gluttonous sleep at 8:30pm, not waking up until 12 (!) hours later.
Still, yesterday was my last day at work until January 4th. Looking forward to a rest, even if this year hasn't exactly been the most exhausting.

I had 10 weeks on furlough at the start of all this and then three months working from home when I could wake up 10 minutes before my shift started, so I haven't felt the usual sense of burnout that comes at this time of year. Also, nightclubs have been shut, which has done my sleep deficit a world of good. All of which makes this last week's lethargy more strange.
And as for the mental health impact of the pandemic... maybe I'm just quite resilient or maybe I've just been lucky, but it hasn't really affected me.
