Oh I'd def start with oysters and champagne! Charcuterie platter. Steak tartare. Chicken liver ravioli. Roasted short Rib. Warm pecan pie with French Vanilla ice cream. Chocolate mousse cake. Espresso. Cognac or scotch. All the wine with the meal.


I would even attempt to eat slowly.

Yes, except my point was that I am most looking forward to dining OUT again with a large group of friends. It isn't about the food, but the pleasure of having someone else prepare and serve the food, keep the alcohol flowing, and clean up after. Dining out, while allowed under looser restrictions, was one of the things we chose to avoid.

I had lunch twice on a patio in the summer, and actually once indoors in the fall, each time with just one friend, and it just was not the same experience. I want to enjoy a proper long meal without restrictions.

That’s just offal!

The amount of time that would take one person to make all that... hell no not easy enough to do at home.

Any other takers on what they would order if they could dine in?

I just want to go to a shockingly expensive restaurant with an hours-long tasting menu where the staff anticipate my every need. I don't want to think about what to eat, what to drink, or the cleaning up afterwards. So probably some 'modern British' or French restaurant.

I haven't stopped thinking about going to town on some oysters since I said it here. .

I was just at sobeys staring at their box of oysters but I left without anything. 4$ for four chicken legs (hate them with bones) at no frills. I debone them and wrap them around Boursin cheese but they ain’t no oyster. , I love them with like a drop or two of tobasco, a clean tasting wine or a beer. I sometimes drink the mignionette after the oysters. Oyster. It’s in my head now too. I’ll go as low as oysters Rockefeller but no fully cooked or canned

Allll the horseradish with mine pls. I bet I wouldn't struggle to eat a hundred of them.


If it's even remotely less sketch than last summer, let's meet up and run a train on some Oysters, AND hit McDonald's after for some McDoubles to go! :gsmile:
