Sad to see Netherlands going back into restrictions... here in Ontario they're allowing nightclubs to open on July 16 @ 25% capacity (which is absurd). I don't see how they can survive another fall/winter of limited capacity (or worse, not being able to open at all).
I miss the dance floor.....

As much as I think hosting the Acopalipse has been a mistake, I won't be mad if we beat Argentina. And, as an anglophile who's lived in Italy as a kid, I'll be happy either way about the Euro Cup, so it's a win-win for me as long as Argentina don't! make a mockery of Bolsonaro's suicide cup, as they've just done :D
Also, I'm really glad my wife will finally be able set an appointment for her first jab tomorrow... I should get my shot really soon, as I'm four years her junior (the older you are, the higher your priority here), and the queue is going a bit faster than planned due to "vaccine sommeliers" :mad:
These people are incredibly demented and downright irresponsible, but if that means I'm getting an opportunity to be immunised sooner, I'll take that as a silver lining... |

I expect Italy to win. Sad for England, but I think they are the better team. But who knows, playing at home for their fans gives them wings.

We opened up way to quickly especially for the youth, which now cause the explosion of positive test.
It's not that it wasn't to be expected if you followed the situation in the U.K. (and Brits visiting Portugal), but our government was sleeping. |

England looking much, much better than Italy thus far, although the Italians have improved a lot from the beginning.
I'm rather torn, emotionally. I'd be much happier for England if so many of their fans weren't absolute twats. |

Same. I'm sad Brazil lost, and I also feel bad for England, but I'm glad Argentina finally won after nearly three decades and at least some Brazilians won the Euro Cup (three of us play for Italy).

We're not much better either. I remember I felt so bad for the Americans here in Brasilia when I saw Sweden beat the US in the Olympics that I felt like apologising to each one of them (the local crowd backed Sweden, for the most part).
Any problems leaving Wembley in the semi final? I recall reading that some Danish reporter got jumped or something along these lines (apologies if I'm mistaken). |

If they are so demented and irresponsible, wouldn’t you want those people to not get a vaccine. That way you get your utopia sooner. |

No, because that's not how group immunity works, nor is a return to normalcy any more of a utopia than the eradication of smallpox, really.
If you feel it's a personal choice, I'm just a stranger on the internet, so I will respect your stance and not engage in a discussion about what it is you (or someone else) should do. Just please, take care either way. |
