Last weekend I got to play at Fabric in London, not something I ever really thought Id get the opportunity to do, even less to be playing at a trance event but there you go! I was closing room 3, which as it was a daytime event was actually 730-9pm, but could have been 5am, the room was totally rocking.
If you havent been to Fabric (or you have but failed to find room 3 :tongue2) the shape of the room and the soundsystem really suit heavy, throbbing basslines and that heavily influenced my track selection (the Bedrock mix of Turn Me On was just :wtf::eyespop::D), whilst also trying to keep things sugar coated enough to keep those with full trance trousers on happy.
It was also just soooo much fun to play, probably the best gig Ive ever had :toothless

Oh a small word on the sound quality, this is a recording made by Fabric themselves, they must route audio from all the rooms somewhere central I think but I guess wherever they take it from the audio has already been squashed to mono for feeding into the soundsystems so its not got any stereo width Im afraid. I did think about rerecording but I think its always going to be better energy from the actual live version. |
