Dear myplay Locker user:

Since 1999, we have worked hard to provide our users with a digital locker service that allowed you to upload and store your music files. However, we regret to tell you that the time has come when we must say goodbye.

AS OF DECEMBER 13, 2002, MYPLAY WILL NO LONGER BE PROVIDING THE LOCKER SERVICE.

You may have noticed already that we have not been allowing you to upload any new content for the past several weeks. This restriction will continue to remain in place. However, your locker will stay open until the official shut down date of December 13, 2002. If you wish to keep the files you have uploaded to your locker, you will need to begin downloading them immediately. As of 10:00 a.m. EST on the shutdown date, your locker will be immediately closed and all the files in it will be PERMANENTLY deleted.

Once closed, you will not be able to access your locker or retrieve any of your stored files. All of your personal information will be handled in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy.

You will be able to continue to access your locker for 30 days to allow you to get your files out of your locker and onto your hard drive or other storage device before they are no longer accessible. Please don’t wait. Click on the following link and start downloading your files from your locker today!

While we are sad that we can no longer offer this service, we want to thank you for using the myplay Locker.

Sincerely,

The myplay Team

Bust.......
I was looking for some info on why it closed, all I got was that the company had been recently bought out by the same people that bought out Napster (R.I.P) *sigh*. Winamp.com was also forced to shutdown their lockers, but no details as to why?

yeah, i know this sucks. the RIAA is waging war against music fans everywhere.
