Oakenfold is scheduled to spin in LA on 12/21 @ the Wiltern. A friend of mine has been bugging the hell outta me to go with him to see Oakey, but I don't like anything he's produced in at least one year, if not longer. And I read somewhere that the set-times for his Wiltern show will be as follows:
9:30-11pm DJ set
11:00-1am Oakey performing LIVE w/his BAND
WTF is that about?????? Oakey has a band? Are they as horrible as his last cd release was? I'm going to see if I can find the link to the site I read this on, but if this is true I'm going to see James Zabiela @ Spundae instead! |

Allright all you Oakey haters, now's your chance to really dish it out, I remembered where I saw this...
It was in this week's LA Weekly AD on pg. 139, the 12/21 Oakenfold show at the Wiltern Theatre.
It says "DJ set 10:30-11:30, LIVE! 11:30 with band. Aphrodite 12:30-close."
Why the are ppl actually going to pay $35 to see Oakey spin for ONE hour and "perform" for only ONE more hour? And who is Aphrodite? |
