The trance revival keeps going from strength to strength, to the point now where new bangers are landing in my inbox almost daily. With so many good tunes coming out, I wanted to do a set that hits hard pretty much from minute one, going straight into a peak time energy and maintaining it throughout, in the style of a vintage Essential Mix. I hit record on a Saturday afternoon initially just as a practice mix without a pre-determined setlist, and the result came out so well I didn't really feel I needed to go back and fine tune anything. It has the slightly raw energy of a liveset about it, which hopefully adds to the peak time feeling.

Well, I listened to this four times in a row, so I think that speaks for itself...
I didn't read your comment or the tracklist before listening, but this definitely has that live set and Essential Mix feel to it. I was thinking that myself within ten minutes. Dare I say that this is the type of set Oakie wishes he could put out?
Great stuff, Jack. |

| Cheers guys. Sometimes you record a mix and you know straight away it's a good 'un. |

| Listened to this on Saturday. I have listened to your last couple mixes but have had a bad habit of forgetting to leave feedback. This is definitely excellent, and I loved the tracks with the acid leads. You create a solid groove and I pretty much never have any gripes. Like a great film director, when I listen to your mixes I know I'm in good hands. Well done once again! |

| Cheers Nick - I realised I never replied to this. A lot of these producers are young Aussies who've imported some of the psychedelic textures from the outdoor doof raves to this sound, so it doesn't surprise me that those trippy acid leads tickle your ears. |

| Interesting how modern trance is a nod to mid to late 90's progressive house and trance. I love it. |

Glad you enjoyed it, Matt.
I'm gonna have a stab at recording something with a lush summery vibe this week, so I thought I'd give this one last bump for anyone who hasn't heard it yet. |
