The tier system is used across many things and is a grade. F, D, C, B, A or S.
1015 is no longer the crowd you mentioned. They’ve moved on. A loooong time ago. It’s now a majority 21 year old tech bros, mixed with whatever the pull is for the artist that night. |

how funny. It's like cycles. In 1015s heyday, the club attracted true clubbers. During the DotCom era, their Saturday nights (I think Release hosted the parties that night), the club was packed full of tech bros with money. |

| what did everyone think of Coachella this year? I wasn't impressed by the lineup and didn't stay home long enough to do Couch-ella. I did however enjoy watching the bits and pieces of No Doubt performing. Gwen Steffani is still my future wife :) |

spoken like a true non-goer to coachella :P, they once again have the best lineup of the year. where else are you going to get clown core, aquabats, gesstafflestein, son rompe pera, and mdou moctar at the same event. all totally different styles of music from different eras. only coachella does this
only festival that has ever come close to coachella's lineup was primavera 2022 |

I went Sunday night Weekend 2 and saw a bit of Khruangbin and then Anyma. Both were great! Checked out the new Do Lab stage. It was impressive and apparently it’s the new design for the Woogie stage at Lightning in a Bottle. Can’t wait to see how it scales at LiB. Then I saw Bicep close out the Mojave stage. They absolutely killed it! Oh man what a vibe. All in all it was super fun. Sadly I did not have a burrito though
Next Events:

6/22 - Day Trip Festival (Long Beach)

This was the most unsafe event I have ever been to. I almost called the fire marshall. Dj Dials can go himself. He himself told me, and I quote "I dont run unsafe events" LOL
They sold over 750 tickets* for a room that has a 400 person fire marshall cap, WITHOUT a stage installed in it, which they had. So what - capacity was probably 350?
It was foot to foot and shoulder to shoulder, and easily 90 degrees inside. Nobody where I was, was having a good time. Everyone was clearly not having a good time.
Only reason I didnt call was we stood by the exit doors, and really wanted to see Salute. I regret it. I did not have a good time.
Honestly I should have called. They would have shut that party down. A lot of people would have died if a fire broke out, or any other event that would have caused a rush towards the "exits" which absolutely could not handle the amount of people that were in there.
San Francisco has had a lot of these events since the pandemic ended and eventually something bad is going to happen.
If I can help it, I'm never going to an event this head (dj dials) runs solo. He is a ing moron with no respect for human life.
*for all we know he went over the 750 cap because they "sold out" and then he magically released more tickets, TWICE, which he claims he held back but lets be real, lol. this was a huge disaster waiting to happen all so dj dials could make a few extra bucks |

What did you think of this event? My wife's, niece attended (came in from the bay area). Per my wife's FB page, none of our friends attended but the event looked pretty massive. |

shady promoters man. I recall an underground event that took place in Oakland, maybe 10 years ago that caught fire. I believe some people died durig the event. |

Overall it was pretty ok. It was crowded but not entirely sardine canned. I’m probably just getting old but it was primarily kids (24-30 ish, yeah I’m old haha) that acted like 18 year olds cutting in line at the bars and bumping and pushing into us nonstop with zero apologies. One girl cut in front of me at the bar and brought 4 of her friends in and took forever to order, then as she was leaving, she was like “you’re in my way” to my friend and then said “there’s too many f*cking people here” ohhhh the audacity. Worst than Solomun shows. You guys didn’t miss much. They drew in the rudest generation of hipsters that I’ve ever experienced in a while. Even though I couldn’t really dance to it, the music was still good but the sound was too low but I’m not surprised. It was more of a wave your fan in the air and take instagram photos vibe. Appreciate Framework for bringing them in and the artists themselves but the crowd meh… Would probably skip next time they’re in town. I’d like to see these guys in another country just not here. Or would settle for Miami or Denver. |
