Destruction of a fire truck, spitting at two shop ladies and stealing their chair while proclaiming them too fat to be sitting all day, shoplifiting at Coop extra while saying ">Thank you for your co-operation", forgetting I was banned from palace grounds when I came to deliver their silver spoon back (since I didnt feel like being Rex and General Major anymore - the Royal Guards told ME that was what that spoon meant), robbing a gas station for a pack of cigarettes and scaring a dude with a knife by brandishing it on the outside - like how a pirate'd do it, Running around while on scopolamine and generally being scary with a knife.. oooh and punching a dude from the back so hard and hitting the glasses so he started bleeding on his schnozz,,,,,,,,,,,,.... I think that¨s it... The fire truck stuff was also on scop,, |

As it seems some genuinely don't know what he was "in" for, and, as I suspected, he will never say what it's actually about, I'm willing to spill the beans, since I've actually heard the story (I have family in Norway).
As Palm already almost suggested, it's about drugs, but also about crypto, taxes, and a couple of assaults. For anyone that knows almost anything about Norway, crime might seem like an extremely dumb path to take in the country, and that's because it is. After all, it is literally one of the easiest countries in the world to live in, regardless of whether you have a job or not, whether you have a good family or not, and whether you're dumb or not - as long as you don't beat up random people. That's not the part that interests most people though.
Once he realized he was going to face actual prison time, he informed everybody that he is transsexual; in this case a "woman stuck in a man's body". And yes, you guessed it, he also expressed a strong will to serve his sentence in a women's prison.
In Norwegian jurisprudence the offending individual's rights are respected to a degree that might seem absurd even to most westerners, most of whom are already used to criminals being handled with silk gloves. Minus time served (the process took almost two years), he ended up staying for about 20 weeks, give or take. The prison he stayed in is the Ravneberget women's prison (Ravneberget fengsel) in Sarpsborg, Norway.
So for 20 weeks he literally stayed in a room with 1-3 "other women", went outside a lot, and ate better than most Latvians do on Christmas eve. Believe me, it's cozier than the average American slumber party. |

quote: | Halden Prison (Norwegian: Halden fengsel) is a maximum-security prison in Halden, Norway. It has three main units and has no conventional security devices. The third-largest prison in Norway, it was established in 2010 with a focus on rehabilitation; its design simulates life outside the prison. Among other activities, sports and music are available to the prisoners, who interact with the unarmed staff to create a sense of community. Praised for its humane conditions, Halden Prison has received the Arnstein Arneberg Award for its interior design in 2010 and been the subject of a documentary, but has also received criticism for being too liberal. |
The women's prison I mentioned seems like a tougher place than this one. In fact, this seems cozier than where I went to middle school. |
