Played some trance at work, but something was off

I dont know what it is about trance, but it mostly only sounds good loud. If you play trance too low, you can't really hear a lot of the intricate lower frequency sounds. So it needs to be played somewhat loud to hear all of it imo. Which brings me to my next point. I was playing it at work, and a lot of songs that we all know and love, sound great when it's blasted. However I can't play it too loud at times, due to work and other people present, so I try to keep it at a medium volume. However trance at a medium volume does no justice, you can't really hear anything and it sounds flat. Anyone ever get this?

I agree. It's incredible to hear the little nuances and layers from the producer when it's played louder.

Techno and Trance is body music, we must feel the bass. The physical sensation of feeling the kick drum and bass throughout our bodies triggers a release of endorphins and enhances the overall enjoyment of the music to five rising stars and a galaxy. The vibration and the tactile sensation create a unique and immersive experience, .... the noise crates of a PC or portable speakers cannot provide this, they are not satisfying ... and hence, a sweeter spot is in front of Funktion One Infrahorns, Martin Audio kick bass and JBL speakers, with their sweet transparency 💜 ...

Sometimes I'm glad my 'work office' is in such a tucked away corner of the building that I can blast music from a bass-heavy bluetooth speaker and no one's fussed about it.

/still too far to go for a bathroom break
//no, I will not demean myself with a piss pot

All dance music is deliberately designed to be heard extremely loud through a club sound system on drugs. This is not new information.

What work do you do where you can play trance music lol

Most dance music sounds bad / annoying without significant low frequency representation

How did they manage to make much more decent dance music in the 90s and early 2000's when they had more primitive technology in comparison what we have now

How did they make more memorable special effects in the '90s when they had more primitive technology in comparison? Sometimes when you have less to work with, you make more of what you have to work with.

/not that a lot of '90s CGI looked like ass as well
//there was a lot of ass-sounding music in the '90s too

in a customer service type job where all employees switch off playing music. all the gen z kids play music that sounds like you're walking into a Forever 21 or Urban Outfitters store.

whenever i take hold of the music, im playing all kinds but i throw some trance in there, but i also throw in some old eurodance cheese.

Aquaform - El Sueno
GTR - Mistral
Odysee of Noise - Firedance
Vernon - Wonderer
Ayla - Ayla (Radio Edit)
Dumonde - See The Light (Radio Edit)
DJ Tiesto - Suburban Train (Original Mix)
Flash - Closing Session
L'esperanza (Single Edit by Väth & Hildenbeutel)
Moogwai - Viola (Original Mix)
Bassheads - Is There Anybody Out There (Radio Mix)
System F - Insolation (Original Extended) + (Flashover Mix)
Tiesto - Traffic
Nalin & Kane - Open Your Eyes (Reworked Club Mix)
Y-Traxx - Trance Piano
Steve Baltes - Naked Brunch
Ascension - Oaky Tranceport - Someone (Slacker and Original Vocal Mix)

Cheese:
Ian van Dahl - Castles In The Sky (Radio Mix)
Robert Miles - Children
Biscaya - I Remember The Summer of 82 (Airplay Mix)
East Clubbers - Happy
ATB - Ecstasy
ATB - Til 9PM

My workers and customers jam to it. but most of them think EDM is post 2012 era dubstep or bigroom house. lol.

I see what you mean.

I have to say Robert Miles - Children is not cheese, I know it's been overpalyed on the radio but it is a dream trance classic.
