Traumatic events in one's life can cause a lot of psychological damage, and lately I find myself drifting. What is in my future? My connection to everything I have known has been severed. But, as it turns out, I can still breathe. And look, there's a new world out there...

Bump. Is this tracklist too obvious for TA, or is nobody into chillout anymore?

I took a listen earlier today, dont think I can remember everything but my thoughts.

first thank you for the music, i'll save this one. I think its impressive that you've zoned in those tracks that all very similar in essence but I guess thats a double edged sword in a way, where I dont feel any arcs transpiring or juxtaposition or.. I cant really put my finger on it, maybe my perception of a set wants something else that which includes some thematic change of events.

I really liked that sublab track, it would be cool if you went on a liquid drum and bass tangent then brought it back to the shoegazy stuff, just being greedy here.

Mix wise, I would have like more A + B = C transitions, some the track swaps were you just turning the track over which felt a bit uninspired in a away but I get it, its not 4x4 to easily crutch over.

Again I did enjoy it and will be keeping it, thanks.

I recommend spike whitneys set posted here recently if you're looking for a set to listen to, I think its pretty ace but it is 4x4 crutchy, im not saying its better or comparing it directly just making small talk.

just bantering away, hope u dont mind. I havent mixed anything in what feels like years, so im totally out of touch :3 cheers.

That's a good point, and possibly unintended. There isn't much progression here, mostly just floating from track to track. Quite applicable to my actual life at the moment!

That would have been a cool idea! I've got that vibe on my list to get to at some point.

Yeah, totally agreed. Unfortunately, the tracks basically did not blend and were not designed to blend. I think I left one of the tracks playing where the outgoing strings totally clashed with the incoming track. I cringe when I heard it, so my apologies.

Thanks for the listen. Love Spike's stuff and have been listening to him for more than a decade!! I don't dip into chillout too often.

yea sorry had to make another comment. I apologize for my harshness on the critique which was not warranted. I was speaking from a lack of experience and talking out my butt. it is what it is. cheers.

I sensed no harshness from your post, my friend. Do not concern yourself with that, as I agreed with your feedback! Always be honest with me!
