Spin Doctor
Well worth a listen in case you missed it. Modern, up to date trance which resonates with a 90s/2000s vibe without being overly nostalgic.

yea I quite enjoyed this mix, some comments:

would have liked a storybook intro, the storybook outro was there; as far as im concerned the mix should have started @ 16 minutes in, seems like the perfect point.
the only track that soured the mix for me was the lizzy mcalpine ceilings track, I understand it was placed to bring the energy down to build it back up but that vocal in this set, just imo.

really enjoyed that mix into and out ofnetherworld. Also love those tracks with the slamming techno beats and the ambient pads playing to contrast the two, polar opposites but brings much joy -- looking at
Lars Klein - Wooden Man (Redhead Remix) + Evians padwork on top carried into the filterheadz remix, top notch ..
excellent ing edits, I would love to hear more people making these kinds of edits and injecting them into older tunes, not that its needed. mixing nice too, had to listen a few times to figure things out.

I need this mix in higher quality. honestly I think im just gonna edit this set, adjust the intro and maybe somehow splice out that track if possible, its worth it. I checked out this guys release on warp records, great stuff. Dudes a legend.

thanks for sharing, would have missed otherwise.

This mixtape is clearly composed with love and respect for the music. Its like a modern sounding nostalgic trip back in time. Some parts of the mix are not really for me, as I've grown to be pretty allergic to the over-the-top melancholic trance vocals such as "Calling your name" etc, but other parts are expertly done. The only minor gripe I have with this mixtape, is that it feels just a little bit too LEGO - like artificially constructed from the different elements of loads of different trance classics. Different themes dont really get a chance to shine before they are followed by another and another. In that sense, it is clearly a sequenced set, most probably done in Ableton. But then again, it still exhibits a good flow and my gripe is mostly just a matter of personal opinion. All in all, this mixtape is definitely Essential Mix worthy and I would recommend it to anyone, who likes Trance.
