| The soccer gods are like the ancient Greek gods, ing around with the fate of mortals for maximum entertainment value. |

| As an Eagles fan growing up, I didn't give one flying about this game. I converted to real football after I moved to London in 2017 and watched the Eagles win their first Super Bowl six months later. Haven't watched an NFL game since. I thought "soccer" was a slow and boring sport when I was a kid. Silly American. I look back on my childhood and cringe at all the time I wasted watching short segments of games squeezed between long commercial breaks of ads for Budweiser, cars, etc. Now that my boy is playing it and excelling, I've fallen in even deeper love for football and learning its history, studying tactics, etc. Despite the corruption and dirty money surrounding it, it really is the world's most beautiful sport to watch at the pub with a pint or play with your kid. |

| It's really quite impressive that you manage to be a pretentious berk even when talking about a sport generally enjoyed by the lager-guzzling, hairy-knuckled, spam-faced proletariat. |

Bumping this thread back up for any football fans.
New England (Boston) Patriots VS Seattle Seahawks
A Super Bowl matchup I don't have a lot of interest in team wise but should be a good game. Both are young teams with great offenses and defenses. It's been a while since I've seen a pretty competitive season and each team fought pretty hard to get where they're at now.
We have friends that are not into football but the Super Bowl has been a good time for many of us to link up and hangout for a Sunday afternoon. It's become a bit of unofficial holiday. Only part that sucks is having to work the next Monday morning.
As a disgruntled Raider fan, it is my duty to hate the Patriots so I will be rooting for Seahawks |

| I still remember the absolute heartbreak so many Seahawks fans had last time they were in the Superbowl. And for good cause, their final play a total cock-up. Even I, a completely disinterested observer of this particular sport, still could feel the Sportsball Anguish of watching them blow it in pathetic fashion. |

As an anti-Patriots fan, this game sucked. Not as bad as the Falcons vs Patriots game but still sucky! Seahawks had nearly a guarantee win with one of the best running backs in the league and just a few yards out. The shock and disbelief that fell onto out little crowd in the living room that night was memorable. The drinks started pouring immediately after. |

Lets face it, this is not a sexy Super Bowl as far as the teams in it are concerned.
The Sam Darnold story is an interesting one. This is his 5th team since coming into the league in 2018. It would make for a good story should he and the Seahawks win
Pete Carrol isn't coaching the Seahawks...I'd like to see Seattle win this SB...
And i think we can all agree, the last time these 2 teams met in the Super Bowl, the Seahawks gifted the Patriots a SB by not having Lynch run the ball at the 2 yd line.
Seattle 34
Patriots 10 |

I stand by what I said! I mean, sure. Giselle left Brady. Brady abandoned the Patriots. And, of course, it was fun having someone Brazilian-by-association in the NFL back then. But, you know who won't ever jump ship? That's right, someone from an altogether different continent who can barely say Massachu... Massashets... Boston :p |

Way to go! I hate Patriots, especially during the BB/TB era. BUT I respect any fan who sticks with a team through thick and thin.
I admit, this current team is awesome to watch. |

i don't have a favorite but it'd be nice if seahawks won i guess being left coast and all, and all the trash seattle gets for being progressive. |

Seahawks won. Many found it boring but I thought it was a great defensive effort by both teams.
2026/27 season, look out for the Raiders going undefeated! |
