BEST PARTY EVER !!!
THANK YOU WES, LESLIE and SHELDON from Empire for what you did for me and my girl !!!
Got to the venue at 8pm to pick up my tickets and went on a mission to get a hotel room nearby. Came back and I was freaked out from the insane line up. I waited in the in' cold for an hour and realize the line was getting worse and worse ... nobody was going anywhere. Saw a kid get booked and removed by the cops. At this point I was getting pissed, saw a few ppl trying to bribe the promoter at the dj door, but no luck. I waited a a few mins longer (until the promoter was calming down from all the ppl trying to buggin' him) Asked nicely if I can get line by pass ... b/c I knew three ppl from Empire, my gf and I got right in !!! (Thank you Matt, this shows Empire is for real ... and also money is unless compaire to networking)
Venue was ing, huge,clean and safe !!! *respect Empire!!!* My shoes were perfectly clean when I left the venue... no rave goo =)
When I say DJ you say BOOOOOOOOOW !!!!
Our locals were amaing !!! I don't know who was on ... but one of them busted out DILINJA - FLUID !!! I thought I was never going to hear that LIVE !!!

HOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY !!! waited 3 years to see him ... and all I got to say, he got even BETTER !!! ( you to the person on some msg board that said Qbert is boring and has learnd nothing new) I've never seen anyone strach without a mixer ... lifting that needle so smoothly and dropping it without any sound !!! 20/10 for that set !!! What a treat to hear him spin hiphop,breaks ... and (I almost cried here) JUNGLE !!!! BIG UP THE QBERT 2x WORLD CHAMP !!!

- Chilled and talked to Qbert for a bit and got a autograph from him. (I'll scan and post it up for you guys in a bit !!!) LOL He said that I looked like his cousin !!! I can't belive how cool he was ... most DJs that are very famous and well known tend to be jerks and . Qbert was down earth and the coolest !!! He asked me if which set was better, Metro@the Newz or Empire Planet Bass2 ??? OF COURSE .... EMPIRE !!!
Well I guess thats all ... kinda tired now.

man i really wanted to check this party out but alas .. time would juss simply not permit ..
man this was like the first official 'rave' flyer i had seen in a looooong time .. i mean shuttle buses to and from Nathan Philips ?!? haha man when was the last time u've hear that .. :D
anyhow .. i guess my time to see Qbert the man himself will simply have to wait ..
what was the venue btw. juss curious ?? i know the last Mayday party was thrown down at Viva .. |

The venue was in WATERLOO
What a mission to get there and such a mission to get it.... damn
