Signature Help!!!

Hi guyz!!!
I'm new in this forum and I need some help with my signature.
Say I have an image in paintshop I have been working on that I want in my signature, how do I attach it? And - say I have an image saved in my yahoo briefcase - how do I attach this to my signature?
I have this same problem with my signature on the Gatecrasher site. How do I do it?
Please someone help and give me step by step guidance as my computer literacy is a bit scrappy in this way!

| You need to upload your picture to a remote server or ask if someone will host it for you. Then you can use the [img] tags to display your picture (set in 'profile' section). |

The only bit I don't understand is this remote server thing! How do I upload something to a remote server? What is this? Web space? If I upload my picture to my yahoo briefcase, shouldn't this be sufficient?
Sorry for all the questions! I am not a Wiz with computers!
