hey man depression is never good. there are things that are causing you to be in this state and you need to take care of that, with either parents or medical help or similar. dont let depression take you over. it is a serious problem! get some help, and don't be emabarrased to do so either....if there are things in your environment that are depressing you, try to move away, create a new envirionment, new friends, - maybe even a change of atmosphere in life. might be hard, but you are a better judge at what you may have to do that i. and like i said before, do not hesitate to get professional help.
hope everything works out for you positively!

Here's another thread about someone who was depressed: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...light=depressed

We all get depressed time to time but if you feel it's worse for you then you very well could have a chemical inbalance in your brain. I'm surprised the drugs doctors put you on don't help much. You just gotta try not to think about the bad things in life and keep positive. Everyone has stupid in their life but most of us learn how to deal with it. Find something you like to do and do it often to get your mind of the bad things. This could very well just be a phase and one day you'll wake up and it'll all be gone hopefully. I hope you can fight this and that I helped:) |

I know how you feel, I was diagnossed with depression 2 years ago, right after an attempted suicide left me in the hospital. I'm doing a lot better now, so maybe I can offer you some advice. The first thing one needs to do is get properly medicated, if your not feeling any better talk to your doctor. Secondly get yourself a therapist, or find someone you can talk to about anything, and that you trust. If you talkabout something your going to feel better, and with a profesional you can probably take steps to correct whatever problems you have in your life. Lastly, I suggest you join a gym or something, working out makes all your problems go away, at least temporarly.
Hope you start feeling better. |

| Try buying some 5-HTP (not just a useful ecstacy pre-loader :D). You can get it in most chemists, it's just a mood-enhancing suppliment. Take one every morning and should make you a bit more optimistic. |

There are things that get everyone down. Iv been moving around alot for the last few years and cant say its been easy at all. Like sombody said, you have to change whatever it is that makes you feel sad. I just moved to a crappy town in virginia a couple months ago and this place does in fact lick balls. Iv been pretty depressed while iv been here specially during the whole sniper incedent. And just moving here from Alabama, any time i bring that up im automatically related to the sniper in some way. Its like all of a sudden im put on trial. It may sound dumb, but people are crazy paranoid these days. Also having a hard time finding a job, not inexperienced or anything just having a hard time finding something. Dont have a car anymore, no money and so on. Just alot of BS to be down about. But life does go on, when you think about most of your problems they are really nothing. We just blow them up into these huge things when really they arnt so bad. Now i dont know what kind of stuff is getting you down and it may be something big, but if it is big get rid of all the other little things and work on the big one. When you narrow it down, there is only one major thing thats getting you down. This is usually the cause of other things so its the one you need to work on. Every time that something beats you down you got to do something to get yourself back up. When im really pissed are really sad, even though i may not want to i usually turn on some music and just bust out. Not that im very good at dancing or anything but it just puts me on the level. There is nothing bad on the level, you dont have to think about anything, your just looking like a fool all by yourself, nothing matters. While it may not make you happy, at least your not sad or mad anymore. Another thing i like to do is Digital Art. Im sad or pissed, ill just open up photoshop or whatever and just start going. You can pour all your anger or sadness onto the blank white space. It doesnt have to look good or mean anything. Nobody has to see it, its just yours to do what you want.
Anyways im going on and on. In short you got to find something to get you out of the rut. You may not feel like doing whatever it is but just do it. It doesnt have to make you happy, as long as it gets you back on the level (know it sounds kind of funny but thats just what i call it) you may not be happy, but at least your not sad...just chill on the level. Once your there you can work up or down, thats up to you. Its just easyer to climb when you dont have a rock tied to you if you know what im saying. |

I am diagnosed with PTSD. I dont want to go into details, but my advice from me being in counseling is to make sure you use your support systems. Those would include any after hours prevention phone numbers, going to group counseling, taking your meds regularly, and keeping your appointments. Friends and family are also very important. Keep yourself busy. DONT 'isolate'. If you dont know what that is, thats when a person doesnt go out; stays in the house, doesnt want to be around anyone or go out in public. If you notice that you're doing this...take baby steps to start getting outside more. A few minutes a day, even just on the front porch or wherever is helpful.
If you need to talk anytime, my aim s/n is SweetzCheryl29.
Take care , and stay safe. <3 |

depression is real and very dibilitating.
i suffered through 2 years after my best friend commited suicide. the pain just sits there and you feel helpless. seeing a doctor is a good first step. finding that rare friend who will listen to you and just be there for you is another step. but ultimately, i found that the only real cure to making the pain go away is to just let time take its course. hope u cheer up dood! remember, life is worth fighting for! PM me if you want to chat more ok?
take care

Good advice Nadi, i highly recommend this to you tranceaddict991. I dont suffer from severe depression but i do get depressed about life sometimes, One day everything seems to be wonderful, then i can wake up the next and think life just sucks and this can last for days, wish i knew what triggered it off.
I recently joined a gym and im also takin up Thai boxing which is helpin me alot, makes me feel good about myself plus you feel you achieving something!
So if you dont already use the gym get yourself down there, but get some advice on a work out plan that suits you so you stick to it, also try and eat more healthily. The gym can be a great tool mate it gives you motivation to do other stuff so you end up so busy you dont have time to get depressed:) (seriously though give it a try)
Hope this helps you a little
goodluck
