The Sony MDR-V700DJ that i had for about a year and half broke today....ahhh 100$ down the drain so i need a new heaphone that will last me and better in quality of the sound.
So after reading the heaphone sticky thread and asking friends i have narrowed it down to 2 choices
Technics RP-DJ1200A(100$) or Sony MDR V6(70$)
so which do you guys prefer i get?
i like the technics better in the looks department so i am planing on getting that , but i havent used them so any personal expirences with them/reviews would be very helpful
thank you :) |

I don't have experience with the Technics, so I can't comment on those, though I have heard good things about them.
The v6's, on the other hand, I can talk about. :) All I'll say is that if you get those, you won't be disappointed. Though you might prefer the Technics - I'm not sure in your case.
Browse through the huge Headphones thread that's sticky, above, you'll find lots of useful information. |

I would recommend you go with the Technics 1200a. I use the Sony MDR-7506.... Although it does work for djing (many headphones will), I still think its too flat for djing, and a bit bright when at loud volumes. I cant support having these too loud for too much time, cause the highs just hurt my ears. I never had that problem with the 700DJs.
The v6/mdr7506 are really studio headphones.
When I have to buy new headphones, I will go with the Technics 1200A |

I used to own the Sony 700's and mine also broke :whip:
Seriously,,, get the new PIONEER HDJ 1000. They're a little bit expensive but I think they sound better than the technincs and the sony. Just my opinion though.
peace. |

I've had my sony 700's for 2 years, the only thing I ever had a problem with is when some drunk broke off the jack inside the mixer. So I bought a new pair, took out the new ones, put the old ones in the box...hehehe....and returned them and got my money back and a new set of headphones :). But other than that I've never had a problem!

Am I the only person in the world that thinks Sennheiser rule the roost when it comes to headphones. I have yet to hear a set which can produce such clear tones and also stand up well at mega high volume. |

Not a lot of people here have *tried* the Sennheiser HD25... they are quite expensive if you aren't in Europe. :( :( |
