CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE is good. probably the best thing the us has going for it in the trance world since MICRO. george acosta isnt much in my opinion.. average at best, which means he stands out form the crowd around here... hehe.... i think both lawrence and micro have the raw talent of the big guys across the sea (and the border.. all hail max!) but the scene for which they spin doesnt support the kind of atmosphere or track selection which could make them a worldwide phenomenon. what do you all think?
ps: sandra collins is mainly success ful b/c: 1. kinetic records gave her tranceport 3.
2. she is attractive. that's about all there is to her. in my opinion. |
yeah i agree. lawerence, is a pretty decent dj. not godlike, but good nonetheless. sandra collins? she's not half bad either. but i do have ta agree with ya on the transport 3 statement. much of her success was because of her compilation, but because of that, she's able to improve her skills far beyond what she would have done if it weren't for transport 3. :) |

| If anyone is interested to hear what the trance scene from South Africa sounds like, you can go to http://www.djmozy.com. The style is usually very emotional and energetic. I'd highly recommend Bliss, Land Of Dreams and Trance From Heaven. |

| Hmm... To me, US Trance is more what the word "trance" is supposed to be. Psychodelic and hypnotic. Deepsky and Joshua Ryan comes to my mind... |

hmmm
US trance = the sound of trance?
hmmm =p
hypnotic.. lol
more like progressive..
thats what it sounds like
X-cabs, lawrence, deepsky, etc... all kinda the same..
Carl Cox an exception.. but then again, he's kinda on a different league... to me |

| Well, we are seen more and more flitration of the european RECORD companies, and clubs into the USA, I mean, soon we are heaving a FERRY CORSTEN MIXED CD on label MOONSHINE if not mistaking, and allready got the MoS label flitrated on the states, with commercials been played of the CD at night time over the radio( at least here in MIami ) CLub Nations American, and CLub Nations America are the beggining of these booming, Gatecrashers Goal is to flitrate itself into the CENTER of the states, since thats where people needs to be educated more as they said, and their goals is as well bring the DANCE music to much higher levels, wich will open the doors, Gatecrasher, a leeding TRANCE club getting residencies in NYC ( TWILO) miami ( SPACE ) and dunno wherelse.. but, they say.. in 5 more yrs.. or 5.. we may have GC club.. maybe sooner :-) |

BT is mainly responsible for it. BT is Libra!
And BT was off the hook back in his trance days! I still rank ESCM and Mercury & Solace (Original UK release) as some of the best trance albums made.
But, now he's gone a little crazy, ignoring that side of his work, producing soundtracks, n-sync, and focusing on breaks and rock. His breaks can be good, but that's not what this board is about.
In the world of trance, he's made history, but I doubt i'll ever hear him play 'Remember' live again... and that's why I didn't mention him. |
