Was just browsing an old post and say that on of Ferry's oldest productions is a hardcore track (mix?) called 'Spirit of Adventure' from '91. just wondering if anyone has this avaliable for download or if someone could just tell me a little bit more about this. My buddy spins Gabber :whip: and i just thought he would be interested to hear this...thanks :D

Ferry created hardcore tracks?.. :nervous:

He released an EP under the alias 'Spirit Of Adventure' which was named 'Spirit Of Adventure EP', I don't think there was actually a track titled that though I could be wrong.

I had the track 'Total Distortion' from the Spirit Of Adventure EP but I deleted it ages ago. This track I heard was not hardcore, anything but it in fact. Hard to give it a direct style but all it really was is a few bleepy sounds and and some really slow, somewhat quiet drumbeats behind it.

I thought it was Tiesto who did the hardcore stuff... ?
Stories
It was Ferry that did hardcore, then I think sometime in mid-95 he caught on to the trance thing and starting producing that. Don't quote me on that though, I read that somewhere, don't remember where though.

Ferry, Robert Smit, and 2 other folks (One of which is also famous today) released the Spirit Of Adventure EP back in '91 or so, that's how they made their first money... I guess it wasn't released as massively as his stuff these days though, so neither a rip nor a copy of the vinyl will be easy to find these days.

I haven't heard this or any of Ferry's Hardcore productions but was told Ferry started off with producing hardcore from a few sources and sites... One of his Hardcore aliases was The Tellurian if I recall correctly... I guess the Moonman alias marked his transition into Trance...
