I like glow sticks.... but its better when you go tto a club or event and they throw tons of them to the crowd all the same color..so the crowd looks off the hook
Club here in Vegas used to do that ..CLub C2k.... threw tons of blue glowsticks int he crowd and the whole crowd dancing with the glowsticks its amazing!!! |

Well personally I love them... probably because I'm pretty good with them... as nennon can vouch for :)
Nothing beats people gathering around you in awe of your mad skillz :)

Ii once tried to use them and ended hitting my head with them a lot of times, hehe
and viceroy...i dont think u start using glowsticks when u are a newbie to the scene and when you become a "pro" you stop using them.
i think u use them if u just want to have fun with them and do forms or movements that withouth the lights in your hands cant be really seen in the darkness |

| I must agree with Krusader also! .. i love glowsticking, i do that 24/7 and im pretty good, espicially for somebody from down here man, down here glowsticks are used only so that you dont get run over by drunken panamanian's on halo's eve.... but when i go inside a huge club on trance night, or a rave man.. i alwyas get those circles around me, haha..its funny, pictures and .. and if a big dj's down, they film ya for promotion, thas the best man=)) hehe... |

Well, if I can convince my friend krusader to come down to DC to party with me, I will film him glowsticking for sure :) He is the in' bomb. I have a digital video camera that works great at night, so the video should be tight.
I made a short video of myself glowsticking to Sandstorm, but that song is just too cheesy and mainstream, and I wasn't really into it. However, when I go to clubs, I do get a lot of attention because very few people in DC are good with glowsticks.
Just so I don't offend anyone - there ARE lots of good glowstickers, but they only last 5 minutes before they are outta breath. I last 5 hours, if not more :)
My next step is to invest in high intensity glowsticks and try to get on stage.. Nothing sends a crowd kicking and screaming away from you like a pair of high intensity glowsticks :D *ahhhhhh the brightness, make it stop..*

| Those of you who enjoy dancing with glowsticks.. Go to Toys r' us and look for a toy called light chaser.. Its battery operated and has three lights at the end which spins round in different directions.. kinda hard to explian.. Get it and u know what I mean.. You won't wanna use glowsticks again! |

Actually, I'll argue that.. I saw someone who had those things at the Tiesto show in DC a few weeks ago. The guy let me use it for a bit, and it was good, but it doesn't come close to the madness level of glowsticks when you're high on caffeine (or another drug of your choice).
Those Toys-R-Us things are fun to play with, but if you want something serious, stick to the basics. Glowsticks are $3 a pop at even the most expensive clubs, and you should be able to find 2 glowsticks for $4 in most stores. Considering the other clubbing costs, that's not too expensive.
