unbalanced? maybe...but i don't see it as that at all. marines rely heavily on the commander that's all. ty com = automatic lose. the first 5 min of a game pretty much determine who's gonna win it. |

| Now that I think about it, i think your right. Its not THAT unbalanced. it could use a tiny bit of tweaking to maximize the game, but yeah, the game is SOLELY based on teamwork. |

yeah i mean, aliens can easily lose if the gorge has no idea what he/she is doing. it happens every now and then. it'll only get worse once NS gets more popular. i hope it doesn't. so far the servers have reached over a number of 500 (there's like 522 now).
i agree, the game is definitely in need of tweaks. but like you said, it is version 1. overall, the NS team has done a bang up job. keeping up with the bug fixes and patches. not to mention optimizing the lag code a bit more.
i hope they keep it up and don't let down. unlike the CS team...they got so fookin lazy after beta 6. |

| hah yeah, the first week or two, the lag was horrendous, save for like 1 or 2 servers =P. like 800 pings everywhere, it was crazy. I'm glad they're stayin on top of all the problems. |

mine is strictly vadakill if there's already ppl in there. it fills up fast. |

its like your a mean (grean?) fighting machine when you play as a marine, and on the other hand, the feeling of being an alien and liek climbing up trhough the vents and putting your teeth into fresh human flesh... IT OWNS CS THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS MUCH! |

I play in one of 2 servers normally:
1. ArsClan (passworded server, good people play in it. Password = arsclan. Don't join unless you're good =) )
2. Fists of Ra
Btw, my handle = 'Srezic'
We'll have to play sometime. i love this game, though i've been playin battlefield 1942 a lot recently =P. |

There are definately some balence issues, especially for clan play. The current tactic of choice for marines is to flat out rush: if you try to expand, control the map and the RT's you let skulks group at the hive, and you will get raped. Not to mention you give the aliens plenty of time to build a second hive. The general alien strategy is to try and counter the rush while a gorge sneaks off to build a second hive. If he succeeds, its pretty much over for the marines, with fades running about everywhere.
But if you get two great clans that are equally skilled, they will enter a clash to end all clashes :D. Most clan games are pretty much onesided the whole time, but Ive played in a few frantic ones. When you find yourself in one of those, it makes the best pub of your life look like a bunch of CS kiddies going h4w 3y3 r0x0r j00 :D
In pubs, a round can pretty much be decided, but it takes 30+ minutes for one team to finally crush the other. Especially if the marines are on the losing side: they could have absolutely no chance of coming back, but they could fight tooth and nail forever. This really makes a lot of pub games , especailly when people dont want to cooperate |

cool, i'll take a look @ it sometime szeric.
piggy > vadakill is usually full starting @ 11 am - 12 pm EST. ppl start joining around that time.
nrjizer > i totally agree. hence why i usually just stick to one server or two. too many peepz that try to play it as a deathmatch or just don't follow orders. it sickens me. |
