i hadn't gone to chemical records till now, but i have been missing out... there is SOOOOO much i want, that they have in stock.
i am thinking of making a very large purchase of vinyl from them.....most likely $100-$200 worth of vinyl all at once
i want to know all info about chemical records before i buy, because i would be filled with blinding rage if all of the vinyl were to arrive warped, or damaged, or etc....
the same goes for another website called recess records. its @ www.recessrecords.nl (its not on the record store list here)
they dont have as much that i want as chemical records, but they still have some i want...
whatever info u have on either online record store, tell me! |

Chemical Records is top notch...
Ordered twice from them and have arrived within a week and records in perfect condition. |

chemical are cool and order from them regularly, but i think i should let u know the downers...
• Chemical are a shop aswell, so some vinyls may have been used/played/abused but they will send u replacements in this case
• Chemical stick big A6 size stickers on vinyl covers which often damage the vinyl
• Chemical ain't the fastest in the world, I live in the UK and they are the slowest supposedly next day delivery there is
• I ordered £64 of records in the summer, 10 records in total, and they shoved them all in one vinyl mailer envelope
But they have an excellent stock, but if you can use www.juno.co.uk imo
hope that helped

Just wondering,
How would the sticker on the vinyl covers damage the vinyl that is inside? |

it's like a sticker with a price, reference and name of artist and such
could be hard to take off and potentially rip the front cover
but it's no big deal. |

ooo. i went to tha site and saw a pic of the store.
the stickers look like they are only about 2x3 inch. right? no biggie.
as long as its not covering up any of the artwork, or record info that was already on the jacket, then its fine.
(by the looks of the store images, all the stickers are put in the corners...away from any writing, or artwork) |

chemical are great...
the stickers are put in the corner and go down easily so you needn't worry about that... I think they have worse envelopes than juno... ;)
but their shipping is fast and they are very friendly.
hope that helps

Well, it varies, but only picky bastards worry about the picture ;) . I would said go with Chem, I totalled the same amount of records from Juno and Chem (same labels everything) and the Juno price was 28 more pounds then the chem one.....kinda obvious which one I went with.
My two cents |

| Does anyone know how many days does it take for records to get to Canada, i live in toronto. Because the shipping is really cheap and i thought it will take like a month *shrugs* |

Canada customs is a real pain in the butt... took a little over a month to get mine in when I ordered from Tune-Inn. Most of the time was spend sitting in customs. Although if things go well there I'm told you can expect 2-3 weeks from the UK. |
