first off i dont mean to have a go at you personally dude so please dont take it the wrong way... but argh i hate these threads genres dont mean , it gives people nice neat little boxes to deal with the music and thats not what its about. good music is just good music... the diverse personal preferance and opinion is what makes electronic music great not the neat little boxes people want to put it into to make themselves sleep better at night...

I really know what you mean Jah. But people use a lot of strange terms when they describe music, so naturally he (and others) are curious to know what they mean. But yeah, I think it can go too far sometimes. "Electro-funk-deep-acid-breaks", "super-hydra-bass-tech-core" etc... :D

Sorry Im no techno expert so I wont try explaining those genres for you Zayatz.

why do ppl seem to think that putting music into catagories is a bad thing?

its probably the best thing to do, if we had no genres of music then finding anything would be damn near impossilbe, and putting different types of music (any music) helps ppl find things and keep them organized, if i wanted to listen to artists similiar to scot project I know to go look at hard trance artists, and i will find smiliar music and its a hell of alot easier than just listening to a bunch of random music hoping i hit something I like
