bleeergh.......... head
wicked night... pui's set was a good source of amusment.. had to go ballistic when he played communication cos we all know how crasher f00kin LOVES that tune  put it this way... alan was doin better mixing using the winamp crossfader :p
hardwick - god as per usual... lovely chunky warm-up
solar stone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg.... i die
piu - learn to beatmatch..
kai tracid - was mint, specially that beach boys tune.. tune of the night! better if he wasnt late tho :p
armin - whoever's idea it was to stick armin on after kai tracid needs shooting.. he played a moderate set.. thought it was gunna b mint up until half an hour into it, where he just went back to playing the same old...
rank 1 - tunes were spot on... airwave... aaaaaaaah... but they do however need to learn to mix a whole lot better, as it left a lot to be desired :)
all the twats who were there - wicked birthday celebration! good to meet the ppl i havent really spoken to (decode & mikey) and good to see the same old bunch o twats :D
and next time i say no base after 10am... i mean it.. didnt sleep proper till 11:30pm :/ |

oooo slap bang down to earth with a bang!!:stongue: oooh mondays!! :p
Wicked night again, crowd were especially loud and energetic.
as for the dj's
matt H- got me going nicely, mint warm up
solarstone- first time i've heard them and i was impressed!...really woke up the gc massive. sloarcoaster and seven cities were especcially apreciated.
Mauro piu - Worst set i've EVER heard in gc! had no stucture what soever and the amount of bad mixes he made were just imo not up to a ritzy standard, let alone GC! TOTAL WANK!
:whip:
Kai Tracid- thought he began well (trance and Acid and that beach boys remix!) but got monotomous towards the end, was thankful when his set finished to be honest.
Armin - STAR MAN!! loved his set, really got me going again after the previous 2 dj's. played some mint tunes and all the ones i love! really made the night for me and spent the whole of his set dancing.
Rank 1- played some unknown, differnt tunes for long periods which was refreshing but towards the end they played some old faves like airwave, such is life, awakening!- superb!! played on till 6.40am too and finished with babyd's- let me be your fantasy and Ligaya. what a way to end a night!:D
so for me it wasn't the best night i've had recently, and i'm not too sure about the lack of podiums now in gc, but the crowd were electric and half the dj's were mint.
but mauro piu seriously has to leave the UK and get run over by a bus!!;) |

buuuuull!
hardwick belongs in the late slot.. for once i thought his warmup was up until the last 45 minutes.
solarstone were good, although i can't remember much of their set for some reason :conf: (wtf was i doing?)
mario piu - :stongue: *points and laughs*
kai tracid was a bit up and down i thought.. some good tunes, some boring toss, enjoyed most of it though :) even though it was really short. (was he late?)
armin played the best set i've heard from him in a while.. 'tomcraft - loneliness' AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!! my tune of the night by a mile! :D although he did go back to the same old stuff towards the end of his set.
rank 1 were okay imo.. they played a lot of stuff which didn't interest me, and some stuff which was quality.. also, i don't care who they are, their mixing was e. :p when Mr T (the bleached haired pit-faced ripped jean wearing version, not the big hard 'I LOOOOOOOOVE MILK' version) announced an extra half hour.. for the first time ever, i couldn't be arsed with it :(
on the whole.. not bad... but not particularly good either.
jeff: i warned you, you ing tit. :p theres no point saying "don't let me do it" if you're not gonna listen to us when we tell you.. fool! |

Have to disagree with you there my good friend. No doubting Hardwick plays well at any time of the night, but the trouble with his late sets are that they're just what the crasher crowd wants; anthem after anthem. They are boring and pretty predictable too. You could pre-select about 25 tunes and pretty much garuntee that 90% of the ones you picked will appear somewhere in his set. His warmups on the other hand, are ing legendary. Nobody warms up like he does. His B&W warmup wasn't one of his better ones, started off a bit too slow but the last hour was great and built up nicely for Solarstone. |

spad, hardwicks warm up sets are legendary, yes (3rd NEC particualrly sticks in my head) but he definatly needs to be up with the big gun names now and he deserves the later slots for consistently delivering the goods!
unlike some other fat kebab wielding Italian we all know and love dancing to!:whip: :stongue:
remember you havn't heard alot of matt's best stuff of late cause you you've been skint!!!:p |
