The new G4 titanium laptop, your opinion

i was looking at one the other day, and i thought, damn, i want one sooooo bad
i want it mainly for audio production, because from what i hear, apple makes the best stuff for creativity things such as audio and graphics
and in my line of business, that could come in handy for me
or the g4 cube desktop, is that the new desktop model?
with like 10 soundcards for multi-channel mixing

this is what happend on a airport in america
FOR REAL!!!
A guy had a g4 titanium... as personal lugage .. so he went to check in, bla bla bla. the his stuff got to get through a x-ray machine to see what is inside his bags.
Now comes the funny part.
They couldn't see through the G4 titanium because of the titanium cover (or how do you call it). So they thought it was a bomb. Bomb squid everything... as usual in america. the guy had a 6 hours delay before they discovered that it was his laptop.

eh? the g4 titanium is what i want...:D :D :D dammit people stop reminding me!!!!! lol. it is quite nice for graphics and video but when it comes to audio, you don't need such a high end piece of hardware. especially one that costs 4000 USD. a toshiba or acer laptop would work just as well if not better to a certain extent. |

| Im not a big mac fan. If i was a graphics designer or something than i would be drooling over it, but i'm not, so a nice dell laptop is good enough for me. It definately has that Mission:impossible look to it though. |

yea, i guess
but i'm a radio producer, and at every station i've seen, they've used an apple for the production (making commercials and stuff)
that's why i want one |

| yeah, apple's are pretty standard when it comes to art-based projects. but i wouldn't shell out all that dough just for audio production. no need, but hey if ya want to. i'm not discouraging it. :) if i were you, i'd compromise and get a g4 titanium, but a toned down version of it. the one sells for 2500 USD is pretty decent in itself. i'd suggest go for that one. |
