Heres my review of Judge Jules and Scott Bond @ Space. Suzy and I got to the club around 1. Soon after we got there we got to meet fellow TA "Quest for Sunrise". Jules was on the decks first and he was on fire. Tight mixing and great song selection from start to finish. I am gonna have to apologize for not being able to ID very many of the tracks he played. The only ones I can recall are: POS 51, Tomcrafts "Lonliness", Darren Tates "Fall From Grace", something by Johan Geilen I cant remember and many more. His sound was a nice mix of hard house and lots of trance. He was also a very good stage performer as usual.
Scott Bond definitely gained major respect from me on this evening. Just like the Judge, Scott dropped killer tune after killer tune. We stayed till the end of his set and thanks to Edgar V, we got to spend lots of time in the booth. After Scott's set, we all hung out on the patio for a little while listening to the Sunrise Sessions doing Tequila shots. Prior to this we had already been drinking vodka all night... Some of the peoples actions I saw out on the patio were so funny. Just as we were talking about how sleepy the music was, I looked over and there was a guy sleeping standing up at at bar. He woke up when his drink fell out of his hand and hit his feet. I also saw a guy take off his shoe and start talking into it. At that point it was time to leave. We then went back to Scott's room for a few minutes where he proceeded to pour us glasses of the hotels complimentary wine. After 2 glasses it was time to go. Soon after we left his room I realized that I had forgotten my golden rule "never try to keep up with the Europeans drinking", and Thanksgiving I paid for it. |
