I have just finished "bird song" by Sabastian Faulks, and now i am reading "Charlotte Gray". I like his style of writing.

i only read to learn so i read lots of textbooks and stuff. i don't see the point of reading sci fi or murder mysteries.

I'm reading The Silmarillion (again) as well as Orson Scott Card's Shadow Puppets which is a pseudo-sequel to Ender's Game. Very good stuff from Card as usual. That plus a giant organic chem. textbook.

I'm reading Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk (who also wrote Fight Club). It's a bit ed up :D

Advice for other good reads:

Stephen King - IT / The Stand (both amazing works which just didn't work on the screen)

Jeff Noon - Pixel Juice / Vurt (this guy writes wicked stuff, a lot of it based on dance / rave culture)

George Orwell - Nineteen Eighty-Four (Needs no introduction, classic & scary as :D)
