I'd love to contibute to this discussion although being a "snobby" torontonian I do not understand the french.
First off I was in Montreal about 2 weeks ago. I went to Aria both nights and had a wonderful time especially for Ornadel on Friday. Malek will attest that I thought it was a great club, great sound, good size. It almost has it all. And yes you guys are lucky to have it.
Montreal is an amazing place to party. The after hours scene is something I wish we had here. But still if i had a choice I'd party in Toronto and visit Montreal when i could.
However, from a tranceaddict point of view Aria is the only club that exists in Montreal. It may be bacause its the best thing ya got and why even bother with the other places. But here in Toronto we are not like that. We DO bash the guvernment like MAD. In fact most TOTAs hate the place mainly because of the crowd and the managemnet. They bring in great talent and it is THE best venue in Canada. No dispute.
But thats not what this is about. As TAs we are united by music. Flame wars and jealousy (from both sides) are just dumb. We must undertsand that we BOTH gotit pretty good.

ok now heres the deal..just cos of a few people talkin stuff bout MTl, it doesnt mean that all TOTAs should be spoken about in such a tone..yes im talkin to u XTC....sa far as i know..i have never spoken anything negative about MTL..infact i and many other TOTAs are jealous of u guys. im not trying to flam u by this post but im just trying to emphasize on the steroyping issue here..and yes i understood everything u wrote in ur initial post........
i have never steped into the montreal threads before cos it aint my grounds..actually no..i did..and that was earlier this year to get info of when tiesto was comin in july..that was the one and only visit until i heard bout this thread today.
we TOTAs welcome u MTLTAs everytime you all make a comment in the TO threads cos we have nothing wrong with any of u....
and eldamry..u do find alot of restaurants etc. open after 12 also here in TO.
thats my 2 cents..this is an offencive thread that is based on sterotyping and should not have been started just because of one or 2 comments from an individual or 2 from TO.

serious .. i'm sure not all TOTA's like Montreal or Montrealers, but (atleast from what i've seen) we don't rip you guys up in our threads. infact when Montreal is spoken of in the TOTA room it's usually to praise a DJ or a recent party not to despise it. So if some of you guys feel it necessary to make flames and war that's fine. I doubt some of the ultra-snobby Torontonians will even take notice.. (which is who you're to flame isn't it?)
