Brian Eno - Ending(Ascent)
this track is a bit aged, but I've just rediscovered it, and
it's one of the most beautiful piece of Ambience to date...
a MUST!!!
I think I've heard this in a film somewhere also, any ideas?

Are you kidding?
Ascent is PURE class. My favorite ambient song hands down. So sad. So sad. Yet amazingly uplifting. Its a soul cleanser.
The song is played right at the very end of Traffic. With Del Toro sitting watching kids playing baseball. Just sitting there. A grainy orange filter sets a beautiful hue over the scene as the song flows in. That ending to the movie is one of my fav. movie endings of all time. Surreal is the word I search for - although in my opinion, words don't do it justice.
If you haven't heard And ending (Ascent) before - Check it out.

Ya. Its the last track on the Traffic soundtrack (Traffic Soundtrack - 18 - Ascent - An Ending). Its played at the end of the movie where they are showing the little league baseball game and then it fades to credits (or at least thats the way I recall it). I've got the Traffic soundtrack in mp3 form if your interested. I'm on the hub quite a bit so look for it.
*Edit: Oops didn't see Azreals reply. Ya what he said. :) |
