| Holy , right now its 4:40AM and recently i got home from Avalon where i saw Paul Oakenfold. This was just a killer set. Some of the songs i can remember are southern sun, cj bolland - phophet, Three Drives - Carrera 2, oh yea and an awesome U2 mix of where the streets have no name. Overall was just an awesome show. He started at 12am and ended at 2am. |

Did he play with a live band? He's touring through my hometown of Lawrence, KS, only spinning a set for an hour, then playing with a live band for the rest of the night!!! WTF?!? I wouldn't have even thought of going, but Hernan Cattaneo is opening up for him, which is definitely worth it to me. Plus, I'm handing out flyers, so I got in for free.
I really don't understand the direction Oakenfold is going. His recent Galaxy State Side live sets have been unbelievable with some really good new stuff, but yet he's becoming another Moby of sorts on the other hand. Don't get it. |

Yo man, This show was just awesome. No band or anything fruity like that this was just Oakey doin what Oakey does best. There was no weird tunes or anything like that. Just straight up trance. I've listened to some of those recent sets of his and they were ok but i think this one at avalon was his best recently. Oh yea and that guy Herman Cattaneo sucked, he spun all this slow , that all sounded the same, although he did pick it up near the end for Oakey.
Um yea if anyone has this set please post it
