I have a bit of anxiety myself! I also have ADD (attention deficit disorder)...meaning i can't sit at my desk and do my homework for more than 15 mins....meaning, i get distracted VERY easily!
If i had known that as a kid.... i would have had a 4.0 A+ in high school.;)

Atleast this is what i believe i have....i've visited a psyciatrist(sp?) and she agrees with me...but she recommended visiting a psycologist....so...i hope i get better soon! esp. since i started college now...
:)

A-aplz, I know how it feels to be down. Depression runs in my family and I usually get down (really down) about once a month. I found that the following helps A LOT:

1.maybe you need to just get some regular exercise. Bike riding and swiming works wonders for me. It's a prooven fact that excercise releases dopamine and gives your body a high...

2. It helps to get involved in something, a project or something. I find that working on a project car, producing music, dj'ing, building a model, or anything else that takes a lot of time and effort can make life really enjoyable.

3. Set goals, make some positive personal goals to improve your life. Set a long term goal and a short term goal. short term should be in terms of months to a one year. Long term should be about five years. Picture yourself as what you want to be in five years. You become what you think about. You will become what you think you are.

4. Um, if you take E, take it easy, try to only do it once every 3 months or so, when the magic is gone, depression can take its place.

Take care

lol...yea, same here! When it comes to my computer, i can stay hours...
but when doing Homework or writing things like essays! it's impossible...the only way i can finish it is at the last minute when i know i'm desperate...

About being depressed...i get depressed every now and then...i used to listen to some music to get over it...but now when exercise it makes me feel much better! so give it a try.

btw...is it just me...or do some of you get depressed for no major reason! for example...i get depressed when i think about certain things.... or if it's really cold and cloudy and theres nothing lively going on... or when i think about reality...things like that.

Check out Celexa. UK have used this with great success for Depression disorders and SAD (if I remembered correctly). North America has been carrying it for some years ago now. Celexa is the nex gen meds (so I've read).

Personally, I look elsewhere. I'm not into pharmaceuticals. If you had severe depression for years, anti=depressants like Celexa just put a bandaid on the problem. I can recommend natural, unconventional therapies. Though, this might become a cost issue for you. I know of only the BEST method to date. I've searched high and far for years. Spent money in 4 digits to find a therapy that radically accelerates healing and resolves deeper issues (ie: depression).

You want to know, PM me.

My brother is on that, and it doesn't seem to do much for him. But neither did any of these other medications...

I know where you are coming from..... about a year ago i was diagnosed with depression and PD (panic disorder) PD is an anxiety disorder...... it sucks with what can happen. Before i talked to my docotor about it i thought all the e i went through was normal. After seeing my doctor i was put on paxil. That is a wonder drug for me. I got attacks at least 2-3 times per day. after i got paxil....... i was down to maybe one minor one every other week. The only damn side effect was weight gain.......:whip: :whip:

I tried to go on wellbutrin but that did nothing for the attacks i got, so i am back on (and currently still am) paxil.

At least within the TA family we (with the anxiety/depression probs) are not alone.
