I have a question.. i hope it doesnt sound too dumb.. but ive been trying to creating a background synth to create a running melody, to make a melody more driving

An example would be the break part in euphonic sahara (equinox mix)
where the songs melody just builds.. then you have hte running melody entering in the background...

Are there any stratageies I can use to create this desired effect?

its the effect that gives a melody a slight choppyness and breaks it up in the background, while the main synth goes strong.. gives that energy effect.

I hope im making some sense

please help thanks!

you could make an arpeggiator or sumphin..

like u know.. if u got a chord containing c-e-f
you make the arp. like this - cefecefecefecefe

hmmm i dont know

If you want I can ask Euphonic exactly what he did with Sahara if that helps. Known the bloke for 2 years.
